One of the best pencils out there.
I have a dozen of these in various places. I love them. I have large hands and they fit perfectly. The 2 I have in my pocket right now are probably 6 years old and they jave never failed me except for the time I accidentally put 0.7 lead into it, even then I was able to fix it with a needle and some patience.

By far the single best me
By far the single best mechanical pencil I’ve ever owned. 1 pencil has lasted me the past 4 years through school and is still in fully functioning order with all the original parts. As for peoples ‘lead breaking’ issues, that’s really only a problem if you let too much lead out at once and or press too hard. All-in-all, this is a very high-quality product priced criminally low. Nothing but good experiences with this pencil. My only gripe would be that the eraser doesn’t last long at all, had to buy numerous replacement erasers/standalone erasers. Other than that this pencil is fantastic for all your pencil needs.

I found one of these back
I found one of these back in High School Freshmen Year. I have used them my entire life since then. These are the finest mechanical pencils there are and I refuse to use any others. I always get them in 0.5mm. The 0.7mm is ok but I find that the 0.5mm lead looks neater and looks better. I have also started using the Pen models though I prefer to use pencils when ever possible at work.

Why is it so hard to find
Why is it so hard to find 0.7 mm lead M-301 pencils? It is my favorite for everyday use and very versatile. I like the 0.5 mm lead M-301 too, but it requires a lighter touch, so I use it only for drawing. I recommend the 0.7 mm M-301 for all-around everyday use, at home or at work. Without it, I feel like I haven’t finished getting dressed.

I’ve used lots of pencils
I’ve used lots of pencils and this is the only one I’m truly comfortable with. A lot of people at my school use it and say they love it as well. I actually lost the two I bought and it just feels weird now using any other pencil. That’s why I’m now on here buying more 🙂 And its also a really good pencil for dressing. I put it in my shirt’s front pocket every day for school cause I think it look slick.

Will definitely buy again.
I have been using Zebra pens and mechanical pencils for years and was somewhat upset when I realized that my local stores no longer carried the mechanical pencils in 0.5mm lead diameter….Thankfully I can still order them on online. Spots may be for squares…but I want thin stripes!

I’ve been using the Zebra
I’ve been using the Zebra M-301 0.5mm since 1996. The same one. I’ve never had to replace it since then. I’ve used it to fill countless art books. I’m sorry to say Zebra that I haven’t bought more from you other than lead and erasers, but you made an amazing product that has stood the test of time for all these years. Just wanted to say a big thank you for all the amazing worlds your product actually helped create. Thank you.

I unearthed a Zebra proba
I unearthed a Zebra probably from my kids’ high school days. It honestly looked brand new so I started using it. I really like the feel and look of this pencil and have been using it daily, however, when I tried to erase, the eraser has disintegrated. I tried to remove the pieces with a paper clip, but that’s not been successful in getting all of it out. My understanding is I need to remove it not only to put in a new eraser but just to refill it. So, should I pitch it or do you have suggestions about removing the eraser pieces? Thanks!

Like many others, I can’t advance replacement lead
The title says it all. I refill it properly, according to the video, with the proper size lead and I click and click and nothing. New lead never comes out. I love this pencil, and it’s a good thing they aren’t ridiculously expensive because whenever I run out of lead I have no choice but to buy a new one. (I buy 2 at a time now.) I don’t suppose you’d fix this problem? I’d like to say I’d recommend this product, but with this issue, I can’t.

Same story here. I love
Same story here. I love these pens, but I can’t re-fill them. I’ve tried everything. I virtually struggle to work without them, but I spend far too much money buying them. I’m about to give up because I always, always, always have to buy a pack of whole pencils because they won’t advance the lead. I would love to have a pencil that worked AND was refillable!!! Novel idea, huh?
